WE WILL NOT BE SILENT/ # transgender justice

We will meet at the South Portland end of the Casco Bay Bridge at 11 am, and stand in solidarity until 12 pm. with love and support for all transgender people!!

In the tradition of Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, two transgender drag queens of color who instigated the Stonewall Riots in 1969 in defense of queer people, we will stand together on the Casco Bay Bridge in protest of the rampant assaults on transgender rights that are happening throughout the country. With the criminalization of gender affirming care for transgender youth, anti-trans youth sports bills, book bans, bathroom bills, threats to drag queens, loss of needed medical care for transgender adults, hate crimes, and censorship, we must stand up for safety, dignity, and justice for all transgender people.

We will not be silent!
