The Cumberland County Greens are proud to have marched in the 2024 Portland Pride parade and hosted a table at the Pride Festival. This year’s theme, “Life as Art,” resonates deeply with our party’s commitment to celebrating the creativity and resilience of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
The Maine Green Independent Party has a long history of supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ rights. Our participation in the parade and festival was a testament to our ongoing commitment to fighting for the rights and freedoms of our 2SLGBTQIA+ friends and neighbors.
Our table at the festival provided an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the MGIP’s platform, which includes comprehensive healthcare for all, economic justice, and environmental protection. We also distributed informational materials and merchandise, engaging with festival goers in meaningful conversations about the importance of voting Green.
The Cumberland County Greens are proud to stand in solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and together, we will continue to fight for a future where all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, can live freely and authentically.
